We have 2 IVTs now. We'd get an IVT if it were available in a 4-wheeler, but it's not. We like them for our ops. Plant-tillage-sidedress N-rotary hoe-grain cart-chisel plow.

I suspect that some guys would also prefer JD Synchro-Range. That's OK too. But, as of now, I don't see us going away from IVT. Same w/ILS. We've had no problems w/either.

Re. "backing up" w/IVT, after having driven other Funk-type power shift tractors, I'm not sure what can be more startling & mystifying than shifting thru the different reverse gears of the JD PowerShift (funk-type). But, you get used to it I guess. When all else fails, the IVT tractor still has a clutch pedal (aka inching pedal?).
