Subject: RE: Lifting Jib for my pallet fork

Floyd County, Iowa
While it's handy (I have something similar for my pallet forks), it will put a lot of stress on the forks. Looks like they've been stressed already, at some point in time? Pretty sure you will try something heavier (that's how it goes around here, anyway).
I'd put some kind of brace (chain and binder?) from the tips back to the slide bar that the forks slide on. You could eliminate the small "keeper" chain that holds it on now, at the same time. That might take some of the stress off the forks. Just a suggestion, although I know you didn't ask for one.
Kinda funny how a guy can throw some iron together in a pinch, to get a job done, and it works as intended!
