I am not against cover crops so don't get bent out of shape by my question!
If I plant with a drill or planter after harvest it will not grow as the ground will be frozen or close to it. If I spray 3 weeks before planting it will not get much spring growth either because it will be terminated before it grows much in the spring.
With those thoughts how can you get much benefit?
