Yes...same here (NE IL). At first I thought it was just our fields & wondered why. Now I notice some in other's fields in this area also.

I'd classify our soil moisture as "normal" this year.

I don't recall seeing this much sedge in recent years. Maybe back when we were 100% organic & cultivated, but not recently.
