Subject: Organic certifier thread from below...

NE SD
I figured I could get my question answered here.

How can a certified organic farm stay in compliance when they spread non-organic beef manure on their land? This farm spreads manure that comes from a local CAFO that feeds GMO corn and beans that are sprayed with chemicals and fertilized with conventional fertilizer. They bed their pens and barns with GMO stover and non organic straw. They also feed mostly CRP and ditch hay that is sprayed with Tordon or Milestone.

The cattle are treated with antibiotics and implanted with growth hormones.

I just don't get how this manure can be certified as organic fertilizer??? I can drive you by several fields every year that have injured or dead soybeans from the Tordon or Milestone that has been passed through a cow.
