SW Wisconsin | I would get her in and make sure she's got milk and letting it down. Over the last 2 years we sold a couple mature cows that had nice full udders and good teats but no milk. Tried a couple different treatments to no avail. Shipped both cows and had bucket calves. 3 years ago we had a similar situation with a crazy cow that we couldn't get in the chute and check, the calf died unfortunately. In my humble opinion, I'd get her in and check. If no milk, sell the cow and forget trying to induce a lactation. | |
