I'm with kmech on this one. Kinze is wright on using a grade 5. Grade 8 is to hard and will shear easier. I think it would take a long time to be a problem if it's tight.

Exactly. Grade 8 doesn't always mean it's a better bolt for the job. Old IH cultivators had a grade 8 bolt holding the clevis for the tounge on, every last one of them broke. Replaced with a grade 5 bolt and it's still in there, 20 years after we put it there. Grade 8 lasted only two or three.
