NW Wisconsin | I know I should pour them now but my held over calves are where the cows need to be to work them, mud over my muck boots, and everything else to make things complicated. The lice problem isn't horrible, just widespread, and better weather's around the corner, hopefully.
I guess I'm just trying to find out if the problem can be reduced other ways than just pouring. I know a guy who doesn't do a thing with his cattle, doesn't cut them , vaccinate, sort or even count them, they're calving year round and are basically just bags of bones, but they don't have lice. Maybe there's not enough blood in them to support lice. | |
