Ne Nebraska | Hmm very interesting. So around $1000/cow. If I could feed for $2/day or less be cheaper than pasture rent. Use to background calves in fall while cows on stalks and then use for calving until grass time. I need a calving barn anyways and the 5 year plan was to begin backgrounding my own calves instead of hiring it done. Could use part of it for heifer development also. Boy my mind is beginning to think of the ideas!! | |
