NW IA | We have gone to tether huts and like them, access to bed and get at the calf etc.
I much prefer keeping the calf in the hut. What we have seen in our NW IA climate is that the bedding is much easier to keep clean if the calf is not tracking in and out of the hut. Also don't have to worry about a new knucklehead laying out in the rain and getting chilled.
There is a place to pin the chain loop on the rail toward the back of the hut. Measure the distance you need from about a third of the way from the back and what is needed for the calf to reach the front of the hut.
Heavy snaps and good quality collars are worth it. Not sure what gage chain we have. | |
