| Hrrmmm.... Jim 1-2$ acre x 15 acre cow(figure 10 if you feed hay) = 30 on top end taxes
Got cows on lease ground that'll average .75 a day - year round 275$ a year, that is winter pasture and native (very little supplement feeding if any)
Own native grass is cheaper even with protein supp in winter.
Some people and places won't make it, sucks but it's the truth. Good luck to all! When calves flood the market and it will happen unless we have a historic drought - even that there is enough hay put up the last year we can buy a year or two
