Would you pay the same price for a new truck with a big dent in the door as one without a dent?
When you sell the truck buy the pound they don't care if there is a dent in the door or not.
When you sell a fat steer buy the pound does the packer discount the ones that don't have ears???
When the chances of the calfs feet going for sh$& at 1100# of course the feedlot isn't going to pay the same as one with good ears. It's just common sense.
