I don't buy the economics of it, but I do understand the tree and weed control.
Correct me if I am wrong, but couldn't a person do a better job with controlled grazing.
I see burning as such a black eye to the farmer/rancher. May or not be much "pollution other than carbon", but that is how the public sees it.
Trample that dead stuff down and let the soil come back to life and do it's job.
