Argentina: exporters sold US$ 2 billion of grains after update of currency value

After the government of Argentina has cut the export taxes and updated the country’s currency value early on December, the Center of Cereal Exporters announced that the exports of grains since then reached over US$ 2 billion. Last week alone, the value of the exports were at US$ 752 million. The total grain value exported in 2015 by the South American country was US$ 19.9 billion, comparing to US$ 24.1 billion in 2014 and US$ 23.2 billion in 2013. Exporters say that until the middle of January the value of grain exports will reach US$ 3 billion accounting since the day the dollar value was freed.
