West Texas | Kind of amusing, While in the Army, back in the 60's, I was a radar operator that tracked the very early drones. The drones cost about 7500 and the camera in them was about 10,000. We were able to send them out 50 miles at max and then bring them back to the recovery area. The radar that we used to track them run close to 2 million dollars. The drones were unmanned airplanes about 15' long with a wingspan of about 12'. When we recovered them, the cameras were rushed to the photo lab where the film was developed and printed. Sure is different today |
