doubling corn prices? That's odd!! Also what would you like it at? LDP rate again? Yeah that worked out really good last time didn't it? Largest integration of poultry and hogs in ag history in that time frame. From the looks in stock talk I don't think grain prices are the problem.
Are you suggesting that since 2006 higher grain prices have not hurt the livestock industry or consumers? I have not blamed recent market moves on ethanol, nor has anyone. There is no industry that is not affect when one of their key raw materials doubles in price and they are unable to pass all that cost along to consumers. That is economic 101.
The livestock industry can't run to government for another subsidy or bailout every so often. You corn guys really have no shame.
