Subject: Rich, reason for driving tire on mark is...........

a physical connection to the mark. If you even lean a small amount in the seat using the hood emblem, you'll be planting to one side. If the terrain causes you to lean some too, it will get worse. You can also paint a line on your axle in a visible spot and use it to line up with the marker, but running over it is the best. You can adjust it so that the mark runs on the very inside of the front tire if you'd like. Thats the way I'll do it. This way it removes the "dead spot" in your visable connection to the mark.

An old man from Iowa gave me that tip many years ago. I proved it to myself to be very effective, and it has stuck with me all these years. The old man is still around, but in a home right now.:-(
