At one time it was common practice around us to apply 3 tons of lime every other year just to maintain a certain PH. Have to say I believe with the lessoning of Acid rain that the need for liming as regular or in those amounts isn't needed as much as it once was. Would have never thought of adding sulfur to soil back then
