deep SW On. | Assuming somebody has 300+ acres paid for and say 50-55+ age would it be a bad idea to forget about renting XXX acres and just farm your owned ground. Assuming $300 cash rent ($90,000 yr.) and on that rented ground you would like to make say $125 net ($37,500 yr.) .....machinery would last for rest of your farm career, do what you want,when you want and still make after property tax $127,500-$10k= $117,500 ......now if you had 500 or 1,000 paid for it would look really nice ..... just sayin | |
