Subject: RE: Dry Cleaners or Dry Shrinkers

Texas
I had two coats cleaned at the same time as the black jacket. When I picked the dry cleaned items up I did not take them out of the plastic until after I got home. All three were in the same plastic and the black jacket was sandwiched in the middle, so I could not tell that it had shrunk until I took it out of the plastic.

The dry cleaners is a good drive from home, plus I did not keep the receipt, plus I do not take enough to the cleaners for the employees to recognize me, and the possibility that they would believe that they had damaged the jacket several days later and without a receipt, seemed unlikely. So, I decided to not waste time driving back to the cleaners. This is the same business that charged me cleaning on an item they destroyed, and cleverly put between the undamaged items, instead of just telling me they had damaged it.

While I was disappointed that the jacket was damaged, I did learn that the cleaners were not the correct choice for cleaning boiled wool, and I was able to get a good laugh out of how funny the jacket looked.
