 Beresford SD | That may be true most of the time, but I do know of an exception. Some corn harvest situations produce small chunks of cob which require the pre-cleaner and chaffer be closed enough keep the cob out. Maximum air cannot always be used in such situations.
Seems like corn in the teens for moisture can be handled as you say, full fan power then set chaffer and sieve. Recent years our corn has tended to be 58# test weight or higher, which helps. | |
