Evangelists preaching prosperity gospel, name it and claim it, blab it and grab it or whatever you want to call it make me mad. Twisted view of the gospel and prey on the vulnerable. The elderly, the poor, the sick and other desperate people. I think Jesus talked more about sacrifice than gain. We receive blessings but not ones you measure in dollars.
What exactly is Osteen preaching? I've only listened to him a few times. One of our former ministers was fond of saying "you can't out give the Lord" in reference to if you tithe you will receive more in return. Is that what you consider preaching prosperity? |
