| that is a valve out of a huge gas compressor engine. I have one just like it in my shop to keep the door open. At one time the local compressor station here in central Ks was the largest in North America. I dont think that is so any more. These engines were massive and only ran like 800 rpm. They just make the ground shake for a couple of hundred feet in all directions when they were running. Most of these engines around here have been scrapped in favor of turbine engines. | |
