We bought a 3/8 Makita a few years back. Still way up on the favorite tool list for me. Never really looked at 1/2" cordless, but have yet to hear of anyone who doesn't like theirs. Ours really shines when doing stuff like grain bin work and working in the field on something. If I could get a cordless welder, I think we'd sell our portable!
