| when you calibrate any autosteering device on a combine, you need to base the offsets on the head and not the wheels. i've had combines where the cab was 3" inches offset to the left, but the head (40' MacDon) was offset something like 17" to the right. when calibrating, put a flag one foot outside of each side of the head when you are on the A-B line. drive about 500 feet and turn around and come back, make sure the head is lined up with the flags and you are on the A-B line again. measure how far off the head is and which way. then enter about half that number as your offset. | |
