Southeastern Kansas | The only way we got ours to tell us anything useful was to adjust it to the low reading when running and doing an acceptable job. When you were really throwing things over the back then the needle would peg the other direction. You may also find the plastic fingers on top of the sensors will fill with trash. A rather useless tool which is why today I still am not comfortable with them. We never opened the precleaner in front of the chaffer because when we did we had more junk in the grain sample. However this was in 100 bu corn, you may have to open it a bit in better corn. Other crops we always left it closed. | |
