Subject: Re: Magnum blowing out hoses

Somerville, Indiana
parts man told me the fool proof method was to buy his male end that had more space between the seal ring and the flats that fit the wrench, 1 1/16?

we got a few of the 'longer' male fittings and it helped...Had a hard time hooking up after rotator cuff surgery...and NO there is no excuse for them not working right...I found more success by pushing straight in until it clicked then pull back easily to make sure it was latched.

And NO there is no excuse for a tractor these days to not have a decent hose connector system...Versatile came out with Pioneer I think, never had a problem except they finally wore to were they were loose in the latch ring...we replaced with Pioneer and they do work as they should.

remember when IH had both ball male ends and then the ones with a tit on the ball?..they would lock up if the implement was dropped too quick...mix and match didn't work well then.
