We figure $11 an acre. If your total payment is more then $11 x your acreage you should go atleast 2 years. But if you run that machine over enough acres you can trade each year. Everyones in a different situation. We buy a year old machine every two years. We run one machine and put about 450-500 hours a year on it. Seems like once you get over a 1500 hour machine your asking for trouble.
