Subject: JD 4640 seat

Shelby, MT
we took the nitrogen bottle off the seat and took to the dealer to be refilled and they said the bladder was bad and for $350 or $370(can't remember) we could get a new one....and at that price it was no surprise that they had one on hand....This seat sucks and probably sucked when it was new...what if any other options do we have to change, fix the seat. We would prefer to go after market and get away from the typical JD dissapointment...if this was in a diff tractor we could have a decent air ride seat for the price of that bottle....

I hear a lot of talk on here about the 40 series JD's so I figured you all would know more than us...since we only use the tractor to pick rock in fall and run an auger during harvest...

thanks
