Subject: heater control on freightliner

Prairie Home MO
On our 95 Freightliner I think the heater control is not working right. It feels like there is tension on cable but warm air comes out all of the time. I talked to service man and he suggested a shut off valve inline. Well today we would of had to open hood three or four times at least for weather changes. How big of a job is it to check out the factory valve? Where is it located, etc. Any other ideas? Thanks Robert
