| It's been a while since I've been around an 800 series head but we converted our 963 to Tracker drives. We started out by just cutting the original drive shaft back enough to use a flexable drive shaft for a 1063 and adding a carrier bearing at the end of the original shaft. I think we just moved the original carrier bearing towards the outside of the head enough to get the flexible shaft in place but the original mount wasn't strong enough (the 1000 series used an additional support bracket that attached to the back sheets on the head) so last year I replaced it with a piece of 6" channel iron and it's worked perfect ever since. If I remember to bring the camera home tonight I'll post some pictures of how our's is setup. | |
