Sounds like that little deflator is a neat tool. It sounds like a venturi pump,much like the ones used to vacuum out a refrigeration (ac) system. The deflator pulls enough vacuum to suck that tire right down to the rim and away from that shaft/pulley. Neat time saving trick. :)
