| Yes, eddie I do have a dairy as well. I've got a hiredman that milks for me, and another that relief milks and irrigates and hauls hay, feeds calves, etc. My milker has been with me over 18 years, and the other man has worked 11 years here. I feel very luckly to have them here.
And it seems I never really sleep, I only sleep about 4-5 hours a nite. Been that way for years, that's when I do my bookwork, bill paying, reading, surfing the net this time of nite. My milker starts milking at 1 a.m. and 1 p.m. so if there is any problems, I'm usally up or close around to run to the barn.
My grandpa used to give me a bad time about working very early in the morning, he said "I didn't think that work was that important that you needed to sneak up on it early in the morning." | |
