If you go in-furrow, don't waste money on inoculant as the fertilizer will kill the bacteria. So, you are choosing between the in furrow nutrients and more nitrogen potential from the rhizobia.

I'd recommend staying away from in-furrow if you want higher yielding soybeans. Get your fertility up preplant. Use a sxs if you need to.

I've just seen a lot of money spent chasing micros and in-furrows and yields not changed because we made something else the limiting factor.
