I've added some "non-ionic" at times. Usually when killing a sod field, and I can't use any 2-4D due to intended crop to be planted. I can't say if it makes a difference or not. Wish I could. But I'm sure it doesn't hurt, and I assume it helps. (Not an example of my best reasoning.)
