We built the unit so that would allow us to cover more acres in a shorter amount of time due to the increasing demand of interseeding.

The purpose for interseeding cover crops at this stage of corn growth is to give it a head start for fall especially where you have a shorter growing season.
By Sept. the radish, annual ryegrass and crimson clover will be kicking into high gear. Radish is also a nitrogen scavenger so it will have more time to store nutrients in the fall.
