NEND | Have some sulfur deficiency starting to show up in corn. On 20" rows with all fertility up front and no plan to sidedress. There are spots (lighter sand ridges) that are showing the most stress but overall only 25-30% of the field is showing symptoms right now. Question is how much yield loss can one expect from this type of deficiency? My only rescue treatment would be a high wheel spreader and topdress some ammonium sulfate. Worried about driving over more than I am helping. Is there any foliar treatments that could serve as a rescue treatment? I don't have the ability to stream on ATS but I thought a foliar treatment on my second pass of herbicide would be one option. Does anyone have any experience with how much yield loss will actually occur with a mild amount of sulfur deficiency? I am open to any ideas or suggestions. | |
