You can only re-purpose so many of them. I agree it seems a waste, I wonder what they cost new? What other ways can we receive seed that is better? True Bulk here costs more than jumbo bags, pro boxes look nice but are expensive and just try to own your own, was told it ain't gonna happen.
Who did you ask about buying pro boxes? It's been a few years ago, but I bought them through the seed dealer. He ordered in new ones, didn't have any seed company placards on them. Cost $400 back in 2006 or 2007, sometime in there. I"m sure they're a lot higher now, but I'm surprised you can't get them. It's really nice having a few around.
