I found out in 2012 that heat made more effect on yield than did moisture. We had a 6-7" rain on Fathers Day weekend (June 21st). By the time the corn pollinated (1st-2nd week of July) it was just cooked and made 105 bu. Later corn that was planted 2-weeks behind and missed the heat under similar moisture conditions made 155.
