NO, Bill threw them a curve ball and slid west right before landfall about 75 miles,,,,, and,,,,, the 'real' rain was last night and today.  Some areas of Wharton, Jackson, Lavaca, Matagorda counties got 10+ inches.  Hwy 59 is closed between El Campo and Victoria (or at least was as of 2pm).  News crews are too stupid to look at radar and see where the rain was so they were filming little puddles in Sealy this morning so the weatherman didn't look like a fool for predicting the rain in Houston and points east. As I type this its still thundering with more rain coming from the south and southeast(off the gulf).
