What is painfully obvious is that some people make broad statements without having first hand knowledge ( walk a mile in som one else's shoes ). I have never experienced a sustained drought or dust storms, but I can empathize with their anguish. Just as some haven't dealt with extreme flooding and prolonged wetness....either can be a catastrophic loss for a farmer.
In our area flood or extreme wetness will hurt us more than a drought...for the reasons stated in other posts, but I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of either.
