Tile drainage would give you higher yields for the future, or making your smaller odd shaped fields into bigger square feilds, is where I would direct some money.
+1
If your in an area where tiling pays, take every $ u were going to spend on the bins/dryer/technology, and burry it in the ground with tile. You will raise your yields, resulting in more $. Then use the extra $ to buy a bin with a stirrator/dryer. Then you can tweak your Planter.
I've never regretted a single $ I've spent on tile.
That being said.
This year I am building my first bins with a dryer. And also pattern tiling a new farm this fall.
I'm planning on getting row clutches as well for my Planter, but I'm more concerned about getting the first 2 done.
Just figure for easy figures you might save 8% on your seed bill with clutches.
8% on 200 acres, averaging $70 an acre ($50 beans/$90 corn seed cost). Is $1100 a year. But also remember that it probably won't add any real value to your Planter when you really get down to it...
