You really won't see a return on the precision stuff on just 200 acres. You would be better to hire someone that is setup with it.
Bins and a dryer would be a better investment, but neither of these items would be my first choices for where to spend money.
Tile drainage would give you higher yields for the future, or making your smaller odd shaped fields into bigger square feilds, is where I would direct some money.
We are steep, zero tile here, what so ever. I didn't know what tile was until I went to college and the farmer told me what it was. Very very few people have any form of precision Ag and the ones that do will finish their own before doing mine. Tile interests me, and I will be doing research on tile but we don't have major issues with it drying out due to the slopes. |
