You both make very good points. I prefer it to be too wet than too dry but I don't experience crops under water or streams out of their banks. We can lose some low areas and some erosion. We just don't usually get a 5"+ rain very often. Those cause a lot of damage.
Drought does reduce costs. Fewer weeds to spray. Fewer crops to harvest but it wears on a person feeling helpless when it doesn't rain. Wet weather at least gives a person some optimism.
