Cokato MN
We actually have 3 units. One is the GEO Thermal heat pump for in floor hot water, the second is the GEO Thermal forced air for AC and heating upstairs and the third is the stand by small propane conventional unit for the forced air unit and to give us cheap electricity for the first two because we need a back up unit to qualify for .049 cents per KW from our utility.

With this set up and good insulation in our Morton pole building house (thick walls, extra insulation in the attic) the worst heating bill we have had in the last 5 years is $60.00 for one month. 2,400 sqft. AC is cheaper.

We are in central MN, with global warming on it's way we will see much cheaper heating bills when the polar ice caps melt in the future.

With the tax rebate for Geothermal, the cost of $24,000.00 was reduced by 30% from a tax credit. It was new construction so we needed a furnace/AC anyway.

It is always 75° in our house summer and winter.
