At one point I worked for a hydraulic/fabrication shop. We would take slugs from the hole punch that fit into the fitting between the hydraulic tip and the hose, and drill them to the size we wanted to make an orifice. Tighten it down and away you go.

One other thing, though. You say you have this on a 7250. Do you have it set for the low setting or the high setting? On our Magnums, you can pretty well shut the flow completely off with the flow control. You can't get full movement out of the flow control levers in the cab, so you have to set them down at the remotes for either low flow side or high flow side. Your operators manual will talk about this.
