Many 4WD pickups weigh around 8000# and many are pulling newer wagons I think some hold 800bu.The main reason is no tax or no CDL required. Smaller tractors will pull them just not enough brakes for safety.Semis are a lot safer and there seem to be more every year.Some of the new wagons cost as much as a used hopper. There are larger tractors hauling 1600+ bushels
