Subject: RE: My son's "fancy" feed grinding setup

Somewhere around 15 yrs ago I started grinding my own feed with a somewhat similar setup.
Bean meal and corn off of wagons and bagged premix into an old Farmhand grinder that was very much completely shot.

Its taken lots of incremental upgrades over the years to get the setups that we grind out of now.

About the same time I was grinding feed off of wagons for hogs that were fed outdoors I was also bucket feeding cattle. Most we ever fed by buckets at one time was around 130 hd.   I'm not sure what I miss less, outdoor hogs or bucket feeding cattle.

By all means brag about your son, I would if he was mine.   Hard work like that is how everyone should get started, it makes you appreciate things better when you work hard for it.
