There are some companies that sell round plastic sheets to cover a silo.  One other possibility is to put two or three loads of junk in when you are done filling with the good crop; old weeds from a roadside ditch or some straw that you soak up with water; anything that will seal off the top and not make you feel guilty about throwing it away.
