Per ton, 835 lbs Fair quality hay, 635 lbs MDGS, 500 lbs hominy/cracked corn (substitute one for another), and 30 lbs balancer mineral, for a 780 lb calf, feeding at 29 lbs/day. This is a calculated ration, not one I'm actually feeding today (still looking to dip my toes into this venture). I'm using lab results for the hay (my Colorado hay probe worked quite well) and "book" values for the rest.
Backgrounding ration - NEm and NEg?
